WORKING AT HEIGHTS
A BETTER WAY of CREATING WORK at HEIGHTS AWARENESS
STAC has built a better, more practical, more involved, more understanding
Work at Height course.
In STAC's Working at Heights training, participants undergo comprehensive instruction on safety protocols, best practices, and regulatory requirements essential for working safely in elevated environments. The course covers a diverse range of topics, starting with an understanding of the risks associated with working at heights and the importance of proper planning and preparation. Participants learn to identify potential hazards such as unstable surfaces, fall hazards, and falling object hazards and acquire strategies for mitigating these risks through hazard assessments, proper equipment selection, and the use of fall protection systems. Moreover, participants are trained in the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including harnesses, lanyards, and anchorage points, to ensure their safety while working at heights. Additionally, the training includes practical instruction on safe climbing techniques, ladder safety, and scaffold safety, along with emergency response procedures in the event of a fall or other incident. By the end of the course, participants emerge with the knowledge, skills, and confidence necessary to carry out their work tasks at heights safely and effectively, thereby reducing the risk of accidents and injuries in the workplace.
Falls from Height are among the biggest killers in the workplace. Team STAC, after consulting with the industry, developed a hands-on skills training session that builds understanding and instils attitude change while meeting regulatory requirements.
